Student Housing Program Update - Application Now Available

Today the Department of Finance (DOF) released the application and guidance for the new Higher Education Student Housing Grant Program. The Budget Act provides $500 million for this program FY 21-22, 50% of which is designated for community college student housing projects. Previous CCFC Updates Application Process and Deadline
Applications for the first round of funding are due to DOF by October 31, 2021. DOF will submit a list of projects proposed for funding to the Joint Legislative Budget Committee by March 1, 2022. Projects will be selected based on review and discussion in the Legislature’s budget development process, and DOF anticipates funds to be available for selected projects between March and July of 2022. $250 million will be available for community colleges in the program’s first year.
